The Guitar Ensemble is the top performing guitar course at Edward R Murrow High School.

 

Members of the Guitar Ensemble are either screened Music Institute students and have auditioned to be in the school or are students that went through the Beginner and Intermediate courses as well as an audition to join the ensemble.

 

Musical genres covered are classical, flamenco, jazz and contemporary pop/rock. Students will have the ability to read standard musical notation for all six strings of the guitar in all positions. Students will also have the ability to interpret and execute various musical dynamics.
